It's safe to say that without Corey, we would not have become first time homebuyers. Throughout the process of our search, Corey showed us dozens of homes in various parts of Marin, and expertly responded to all of our questions. Because we were looking at the lower end of the price range for single-family homes, many of the places we saw were fixers with complicated disclosures, which Corey helped us to understand and follow up on where necessary. For homes we were interested in, Corey helped us put in a couple of offers that were as strong as possible without pressuring us to venture into territory that we were not comfortable with (such as blindly waiving all contingencies on properties that needed a ton of work).Even if our search took a long time, Corey remained confident that we would ultimately find what we were looking for in an area we would be happy with. He remained very patient with us, and helped us secure a home that was listed well outside of our price range, but had decades of deferred maintenance. We put in an offer that was fully contingent, and thanks to Corey's excellent salesmanship, he was able to get the offer accepted. Not only that, but he was able to line up a whole host of inspectors in a very tight timeframe to ensure that we didn't encounter any unexpected surprises after closing. This was essential as when we called around ourselves, most companies were not scheduling appointments until 1-2 weeks out, but Corey was able to get specialists out within 1-2 days. Due to the seller's agent's inexperience and seller's misrepresentation of the property, dozens of unexpected issues came during the closing process. When it became clear that their foot-dragging was leading to delays that would impact our closing timeline, Corey stepped in and took care of many tasks that should have been dealt with by the seller (like mandatory inspections, installation of fire alarms, etc.), just so we could move forward. While the closing process with an unmotivated seller was very stressful, Corey navigated each challenge as it came up, ensuring that everything went as smoothly as possible given the circumstances. Corey also negotiated substantial seller concessions and navigated challenging personalities with grace in order to get us to the finish line. Corey had to pull double-duty during this time, serving not only as our realtor but also our therapist.We tried a few other agents before Corey, and none of them came close to being a match. Corey is just so knowledgeable and positive without being pushy. He definitely believed in us and never suggested we look outside our target areas even if it would have resulted in a much quicker sale for him with a lot less work. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Corey and his wonderful team, and definitely feel like he made all of the difference in our ability to finally purchase a home after years of trying.
